| - One again, I ordered delivery from this establishment. I have never visited the restaurant in person, and I will limit my review to order accuracy, presentation and food quality.
So, regarding order accuracy: FAIL
This is the oddest part of my whole experience. I ordered, among other things, halibut nigiri. Eat24 called me a few minutes after I placed my order and informed me that they were out. I asked them to replace it with an order of yellowtail. What I received, besides my tuna order, which was fine, was 1 order of unagi (which I did order), 1 order of yellowtail (I think), and one order of salmon!!! And I was billed for a yellowtail roll; 2 dollars more than the yellowtail nigiri that I ordered as a replacement! Eat24 did a great job repairing the mistakes, but it's quite clear that Sushi way is not yet prepared to accept delivery orders.
Presentation: D+
Not one effort was made to present an attractive delivery order. Plain standard styro boxes with no adornments; not even that annoying plastic grass! I ordered wasabi and ginger for three and only got a quarter-sized serving of each. They did have the more expensive throw-away chopsticks though; that got 'em from a "d" to a "d+."
Food quality: C
My husband loved the tuna; deep red, with very little sinew, and generous fish slices. However, as I've said many times, the heart of sushi isn't fish, it's the rice. And Sushi Way's rice isn't good. No coherence, and if you order some sushi that has a special sauce, like a ponzu instead of the standard soy, they put it directly on the fish before sending it out. Guess what the rice is like when you finally get it! Yep, soggy, no cohesion, very difficult to eat. But again, the quality of the fish was very good.
The bottom line? Clearly, the person who was responsible for contracting with Eat24 didn't consider the ramifications of offering sushi for delivery. I hope the person who is in charge of social media will instruct the staff on proper delivery prep and technique. And yes, presentation. I will order from them again, with prejudice though.
