  • I've been frequenting Kazimierz since I moved to Phoenix 3 years ago. I've brought friends from out of state to this place. And every time we had a good time. The food is great, the chocolate fondue is great, the live bands, so far, have been good. Especially the dance bands. But I've got to say this, and this is the reason I gave Kazimierz two stars. I went with two local friends of mine about 3 weeks ago Saturday--the three day weekend. The place was crowded. We gave our name for a table and proceeded to the bar for drinks while we waited for a table. We get to the bar and there's ONE bartender. Typical for most businesses here in AZ. The management poorly staffs and the staff that is on, is overwhelmed. Yet you go on a Monday night and it's overstaffed with 3 customers. So my friends and I had a couple rounds of drinks. It took forever and two reminders to the bartender after she delivered my extra dirty martini that I asked for 3 olives. It's funny because the check for the drinks came immediately. THAT she didn't forget or need a reminder on. So then we moved closer to the band after they started playing because there was a brawl waiting to happen to the left of us between 2 guys and the female hostess (typical for a straight or at least alleged straight bar). One of my friends made a trip back to the bar for a drink. He went to the place at the bar, we were originally at. He had no luck with service. So he went to the other end of the bar by the service station. He got the one bartenders attention and it wasn't to get him a drink, it was to tell him he couldn't stand in the service area. That was for the waiters & waitresses only. So he says to the bartender, oh well I was at the other end of the bar and never got your attention so I figured I try this end of the bar. And she says (get this shit) "Oh well, I guess I'm too busy to serve you tonight". And she walked away. How fucking rude is that? Seriously, how offensive. On that note, we immediately left and went to another club. And I was embarrassed because I'm trying to turn these guys onto a new place they've never been to before and bragging how good it is. I was wrong that night. NOTE TO BARTENDER: If you can't handle pressure and crowded bars, then YOU SHOULD'NT BE A BARTENDER. NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: Staff sufficiently for Friday and Saturday nights especially on a three day holiday weekend.
