I've had some pretty awful doctors since moving to the city, but this one's a keeper. I found him by coming in as a walk-in patient, but he was also taking on new patients. After a few visits, I signed myself and my partner up to be 'on the list'. (A hard thing to achieve in Toronto!)
I rarely wait long (I never go on Wednesdays, when the hours are shorter and the lines are longer), and street parking means I pay $2 and I'm usually out before the meter. Plus Anna is amazing - if you have to run out for a sec you aren't automatically deleted from the list.
Downside - as this is a walk-in (albeit with only on-list patients), there are no appointments. You show up and wait, just like everyone else. Frustrating for those of us who often only have small windows of time available.
Upside - bloodwork and everything is done onsite (downstairs), and referrals to specialists are often within the same building.
If you get the chance, get on Dr. Florence's list.
