  • Decided to try the "stroll downtown phoenix" symphony sponsored event for the first time. Went Saturday 4/8/17. Was not impressed. Went to 6 vendors who provided only limited snacks and their One beer or wine that they wanted to get rid of! The wine choice was 1 oz. or 4 oz beer at one place. Your $30 bought a chicken wing, bread with cheese, soybeans, pretzel bite, pasta and vegetables. Very poor and cheap choices. Again, no choice of beer or wine in most places, you were given whatever they wanted to push. The music was nice in two places and absent in others even though it advertised "music provided." This had NOTHING to do with the phx. symphony or their musicians, it was just a way for the downtown vendors to try to get customers. Most of the places we went, I would never go back to. Not a pleasant experience at all. Too crowded with poor food and alcohol choices. In addition, I think I got food poisoning from the food being left out too long. Live and learn.
