| - I am suddenly regretting that I deleted my negative reviews of this company. I signed up for handy's perpetual clean program and had them coming every few weeks since the beginning of this year. we just got our kitchen completely remodeled, floor to ceiling this summer. A month after they finished and had put brand new tile in my home, I booked a cleaning to have handy come mop the new floor. This was a horrible experience. Joanne arrived, I asked her to mop the dining room and when she was done with that, to mop the hallway. she took over an hour and a half, she said that her mop wouldn't work on my floor and when I suggested she used my steam mop she said she didn't know how and mopped it with rags instead. Part of why it took so long is because she was taking pictures of my baby chicks that were in a bin on top of the entertainment center in my living room, without my consent. Well, when she finished mopping the dining room and then kept taking pictures of the living room I was in the process of vacuuming. I had started vacuuming and then my daughter wanted to help, so I let her. She took the vacuum from my child and said she could do a better job. When I asked why she wasn't mopping the hallway, she said "oh, I have ADHD, I forgot". I finished vacuuming where my child left off, (the living room was spotless when she left because I cleaned it while she was supposed to be mopping the kitchen!) and she eventually finished out her 2 hours and left. She then reported me to cps because "the chicks were a danger to my children's health". She watched me change the bedding for the chicks, placing them in a temporary bin and putting them back in their normal bin, and I explained this is done daily, sometimes multiple times a day. CPS said that it made sense that baby chicks would be in a bin with a heat lamp on for the first few weeks of life before moving them outside to the coop where they are currently living at, and it looks like they will be closing their investigation. However, I feel that my privacy was infringed on greatly. CPS interviewed my kids at school, (kids she had never met because they were at school) and said they were in perfect health and they were not concerned. But that did not stop my kids from being stressed about the situation and disrupting their learning at school. If you hire a cleaning service to come clean your house, they should just do their job, not complain about ridiculous things such as pets. We don't have cats or dogs or other animals that crap all over the house, we had baby chicks in a bin that was well taken care of daily, that's it. and this is supposed to be a danger to my 3 older kids who weren't even home (they were at school and she had never met) somehow?!? I hope they fired her. I won't be using this company anymore. I am done. Handy refunded my money for her cleaning, but I had to have another lady come to finish the job because she did a crummy job anyway. In addition, there's no phone number listed anywhere to file a complaint with, and when I tried to do so on the website, all it wanted me to do was rate the cleaner, which I did, multiple times. It took forever to finally get to the part of the website where I could actually contact someone about what occurred. Completely ridiculous!! after posting these review, yelp sent me a message saying that i needed to revise it, so here goes: in addition to the crappy job done by Joanne, this company always reviews all reviews and asks you to revise any negative reviews, offering complimentary services. which i did previously. on this occasion, i emailed them and they returned my money (never mind that i had to have someone else come out a second time which did come out of my pocket) but when i asked if there was any disciplinary actions taken for the despicable job of this employee, they completely ignored my email. She's probably still out there. so i don't recommend this company to anyone. You don't know who is going to show up, someone that is going to violate your privacy and make your life hell, or someone who is actually there to work and do a good job. This woman actually told me she was going to work for homejoy, who I have had wonderful cleaners come every time, but that they weren't good enough for her. Sadly, homejoy is not in business anymore. And with handy, there are different cleaners. Like the one who showed up at my house without any rags or cleaning supplies, because she left them at the previous house and then had one of her buddies bring her rags, and then left those dirty rags at my house. Or you could get one of the cleaners that said they couldn't do the job because they had a personal conflict, but they could come back and do the job on their personal time and I could pay them for that. Or there was a really good cleaner that I had, that is, until she poured water all over the dining room floor to clean it and then slipped on the water and sprained her ankle.
