We were starving and lost..that is when we noticed Peel Pub shining in all its glory from across the street (its actually not a lit-up sign at all nor is it very fancy but we were starving and heard angels sing when we saw it).
Peel Pub is your typical pub, no fancy seating, a very low-key vibe. The servers are friendly and quick. I noticed there was an upper level as well but it was closed off for a party. Their menu is very large and has something for everyone- pizza, salads, burgers, appetizers, poutine, quesedillas, etc... Their drinks are abundant and very inexpensive. I think I saw $3.50 or $4 shots.. and a $4.99 beer pint special. Cant beat those prices.
We didnt order any drinks and got right to the food. We ordered garlic bread (4 pieces) and their "special" which has 2 hot dogs with a side of poutine. The garlic bread was great- perfect amount of cheese and garlic and not over baked. The main dish might sound simple..but it was delicious. The hot dogs come on a toasted bun with condiments on the side. The poutine was quite large and absolutely DIVINE. We shared the 2 dishes between 2 people and we were stuffed!
The prices are very reasonable and the food is good. For what its worth, 5/5.
