I loved the location next to Kensington Market (great neighborhood for diverse food and shops), and I felt very safe here as well.
The building seems updated with nice bathrooms, a gorgeous rooftop terrace, and fun nightly activities to meet fellow boarders. My only issue with the facility was the tiny size of the room itself. It is one of the smallest hostel rooms I have stayed in. The mattresses were also not as comfortable (and were loud when moving on the mattress) as other hostels where I have boarded. I did not see an elevator nor was I informed of one, but there are several floors, so be prepared to carry your luggage (as I did).
The staff is very friendly though I had a hard time getting some local activity suggestions and info on public transportation (which is complicated in Toronto). No bad attitudes here!
I met some awesome people here which made the stay ideal. The 6-bed women's dorm was about $33 CAD/night which is a great price for the area and cleanliness.
