| - I read other consumer's reviews about the arrogance and egotistical attitude of Robert's Catering, yet hoped I wouldn't experience it, too. Unfortunately, I did. I am a bride from Vermont, and our wedding venue gave us two choices for wedding cakes; Robert's Catering and another. I am flying into AZ for Christmas break and the other bakery has been responsive and accomodating to my request for a cake tasting during my winter visit. Robert's on the other hand didn't even reply to my initial cake testing request, and after my second request I spoke with a woman who wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise, and although Robert's is open during Christmas and New Years week they are not doing cake-testing. However, I was encouraged to pay $12 for a sample cake and rest assured that I could come in ONE MONTH before our wedding to do a complete cake-testing and have the "BEST" cake. After a day or two of wondering if I really had this conversation with a well-known business I called back, barely able to get a word in, and asked if there was any possibility of having a cake-testing done outside of their normal cake-testing days. "Absolutely not" I was told. Although Robert's Catering might produce the best tasting and crowd pleasing cakes in the Phoenix area, I will "ABSOLUTELY NOT" feed my friends and family food with such inconsiderate, egotistical, arrogant, and overbearing energy.
