| - I sort of wish I could give this place a 3.5 stars. Let me start off by saying that Vicky is very good at what she does. My eyebrows look fantastic. She takes her time, first trimming, then waxing, then threading, then tweezing. The entire process took around 15 minutes, which I quite like; please note that I went in with sasquatch eyebrows, so maybe that is why it took a little longer than usual. Regardless, I still appreciate the time she put in.
However, the professionalism in the salon is definitely below par. While Vicky is very talented, she does no consultation prior to the service. I would have liked my eyebrows to be a little thicker, which I mentioned, but she didn't really take that into consideration, like one would do in a thorough consultation. Still, they look great.
She also watched movies and spoke with other technicians, and if it weren't for the time she put in and how good the result is, I'd say she was pretty unfocused. The equipment seemed a little unsanitary, but nothing as bad as I've seen in other salons.
The price was slightly more expensive than I'm used to, (13$ including tip), but I think it was justified.
This salon is not for those looking for a relaxing, or even individualized experience. It's a pretty small place, located in the somewhat sketchy area of Hurontario and Dundas. Technicians are efficient and brisk, but still friendly. Also, note that there can be a considerable wait time, as I believe Vicky is the only one that does eyebrows.
All in all, I am pretty sure I will return, despite quite the commute for me. Vicky seems to have natural talent (or maybe its experience?), and I can look past the pretty average customer service. I would recommend this place for sure.
