5 stars for late night Madison dining.
We ordered from a 1 page "late night" menu. The two of us shared a steak sandwich (about $10, 9.50 maybe?) and an order of onion rings ($6.50). The sandwich was on a good sized round bun and came with a bowl of au jus. It was the best steak sandwich we've ever had. Steak is sliced and piled very high. The onion rings were SPECTACULAR. We have never had such great rings, they came with horseraddish sauce and a tomato based sauce. They are sliced thick and the batter is super crispy.
Total bill for food was under $20. Last time we were in town for a late night snack we spent that much at Ians Pizza ($4 sliceĆ4 slices). Ians was ok, but we thought this was much better food for the same money.
Staff was friendly and QUICK. Decor was retro and comfortable seating. We are not from the area and everyone we asked at our hotel recomended this place for steak dinner. Even the cab driver who dropped us off knew it was the place to go late night for the "best" steak sandwich.
