Brought an expensive watch in for a battery change. Absolutely nothing wrong with watch previous to this. Time started to slow within one weekend and brought watch in on the Wednesday to pick up Thursday night only to recieve watch back, inspect for a minute and leave. Half way home watch stopped working and went funny. Reset watch for correct time and watched - very off now.
Called store to inform lady on phone that watch was not working after being educated over phone and told to not say they broke my watch, informed lady that I would be coming in to show the item in question.
Upon arriving in store was met with the same 5 star service and was then told to stop talking and that the owner would talk. He asked if when I picked up my watch - was it working? I said yes. He told me matter of factly that I had my watch battery replaced and they replaced that and it was working when I left. PERIOD. I laughed seeing where he was going #notstupid asked for my watch back and he went on to say that - no, if I left it with them they would see what was now wrong with my watch, fix and then there would be another charge.
I will make sure I tell every single person I know going into this location of my disgustingly horrible experience.
Being a jeweler for over 40 years he should have more pride in his work and that includes his customer service as work is anything you do that is a reflection of oneself.
A true watch smith would inform the customer if there was an issue at time of repair or battery change. Not change battery and "oh well to the rest" they would say - this is not the issue and go from there.
