| - Can I just say that I hate paying for internet at hotels. It's $12.95 per day here! And it's not even good internet. It's shinternet. I would give this place 4 stars if it wasn't for the costly, crapass internet. But alas, 3 stars it is.
The interior is elaborate and impressive for a Marriott. Check in was quick, friendly and my early arrival was accommodated. I was surprised at the conveniences located in the lobby. There is a Starbucks located right next door in the Key Tower--albeit it's only open until 6pm. There are two little shops (one in the Key Tower adjacent to Starbucks and one in the Marriott) that sell candy, soda, pastries, newspapers, souvenirs, etc. Also, two restaurants side by side.
My room was located on a high floor with a nice view of the Public Square to the left and the frozen lake to the right. The decor was nicer than I thought it was going to be. The bed was comfortable with a plush duvet and awesome pillows. I overslept quite a bit in this bed.
I didn't try the restaurants but I did buy some sushi-to-go in the gift store. Before you think "ew, gross, giftshop sushi!" you should know that the restaurant across the street delivers it daily. It was actually pretty good. I ordered room service breakfast once during my stay and wasn't impressed. The croissants were stale and my eggs were not cooked the way I ordered them. There's really no reason to eat at the hotel anyway when there's so many great restaurants in the area.
