  • let's talk.... PHARMACIES. this one sucks. i have a diabetic dog who requires insulin shots. i was told by my vet that this pharmacy is by far the cheapest for insulin, and since i've got a big dog who needs a lot of medication, i was willing to forgo my "no walmart" policy to save a couple bucks. i should have listened to the inner voice that screamed, "THIS PLACE IS SANCTIONED BY SATAN!" i filled my dog's insulin and syringes there. i was given the wrong syringes, and didn't know it until i got home. they were supposed to be marked for every 1cc. these were marked by 10cc. there was no way to know where his dosage was. i called my vet to ask for help on the matter, and was told i was given the wrong syringes. they told me to return them to walmart, because they had not correctly filled the prescription. when i arrived at walmart, they tried to tell me i could not return them because i had taken them out of the store. yes, i had.... but you gave me the wrong thing! i eventually got the exchange but not without a manager... and not without being chastised for not double checking the pharmacy order. really? isn't it your job to make sure you give me the right thing? i should have heeded their advice about double checking because a week later i had to get a prescription for anti-anxiety medication filled for my dog. i figured since i was already getting his medication at walmart, i'd just have that prescription filled there too. bad idea. i picked up the meds with no problem, took them home, and gave my dog his first dose. i sat down to read the medication notes to see what to look if he was having a bad reaction... and i realized that he had been given clomid, instead of the medication he should have been given. clomid. a drug used to induce ovulation. in women. maybe even female dogs.... but nooooooot 11 year old MALE DOGS. i immediately called the pharmacy back and told them about their mistake. they apologized and allowed me to bring it back. they gave me the right drug for free. all i could think was, "rad. free medication.... but i'm glad i learned that you don't care what medication you send home with people before you poisoned my KID." sigh. no more walmart for us.
