| - I went here sometime last year and I've played two of their rooms. (I am from Vegas, but now live in LA.)
Empress of the Globe was my 5th escape room ever and White Lie was my 6th escape room. (I've played 43 to date.)
I highly recommend Empress of the Globe for beginners, or anyone in general. Aside from the cheap handcuffs, the elements and puzzles in the room were so fun and we had a good challenge. I didn't like how it was a 45 minute room, but they were nice enough to let us play for 60 minutes and we were able to escape closer to the 60 minute mark. Most standard escape rooms allow you 60 minutes and at least three hints (I think we only technically got two, but they did help us along). Overall, I loved the look and feel of this room and would be one of my favorites.
White Lie is very low on my list and the production quality was poor and the puzzles were all right. We didn't make it out before the 45 minutes was up. It was too dark, which I know is part of the horror theme ambiance, but darkness can be a buzzkill and unnecessary hindrance in escape rooms. I get scared easily and this room wasn't so bad, and is nothing like a haunted house, so don't let the "horror" theme deter you (that goes for most escape rooms, that I've encountered and in my opinion).
However, I would be willing to try out their other rooms in the future.
Ample parking in their lot. Try not to use hints so you can get on their leader board.
