I researched many different auto shops after 4 years of owning my car, and the dealer maintenance package expiring. Mainly, I was looking for an autobody shop/mechanic:
1. To be reliable
2. To be honest (and not sell me a service/part that was unnecessary)
3. To be proactive in helping me manage any foreseeable future issues with an aging car
4. To be friendly and polite
5. To be easily transit accessible (ie: not isolated in a part of town that would be impossible to get to after dropping my car off)
6. To be open early in the morning and offer evening hours.
I read a lot of reviews on the internet and landed at MIDAS Bathurst. My first thought was the cheesy commercials I had seen on TV as a child but I put aside my bias, based on reviews of excellent customer service at this location.
I have been a faithful customer of MIDAS Bathurst for 4 years now. They do my regular seasonal tire and oil change each season and are priced very reasonably. They are reliable, efficient and very personable. I usually drop my car off first thing in the morning and then hop on the subway to get to work, while the car is being serviced. If you don't have to rush off to work, there are many good local coffee shops and eateries to explore along Bloor.
Two thumbs up.
