| - As far as fro-yo goes, this is as good as it gets. I've always been a huge Pinkberry fan but Red Mango beats them. Not only do they have more options but they are self serve and better priced.
They advertise that their yogurt is "all-natural, nonfat and packed with yogurt's natural goodness, like calcium, protein, and live and active cultures that are good for you." Well, all that sounds healthy but the most important part is that it just tastes good. I prefer the original to any other flavors (well, the raspberry was really good) they also have a good assortment of different flavors like dark chocolate, mango, hazelnut (maybe 8 or so total). They are all very different so everyone can find something that they like.
This store opened up a few weeks ago and I had been planning on stopping in for a while now. On my first visit, I was greeted by the two owners who gave me a sample of their 4 Berry smoothie -- yes, they have smoothies and they are scrumptious! She gave me some sample cups and directed me to the self-serve wall where I sampled 4 different kinds. Then I decided to fill up two big sized cups -- one for me and one for a friend who had never had frozen yogurt before. I was very pleased with the huge selection of toppings: all kinds of berries, granola, chocolate chips, cookie crumbles, mochi, cookie dough bites, bananas and syrups! I like as many types of berries that I can fit in my cup. They were so fresh, I was in heaven. Because I was taking mine to go, they put my two cups in a bag with ice to prevent it from melting on my way home ... I thought this was very nice.
I was extremely happy with my visit and am looking forward to trying all of their smoothies and their hot chocolate shakes (I think that's what they were called). Also, I was given a frequent buyer card so the more I buy, the more I get. It's a good deal, so check this place out. By the way, my friend is now hooked -- he can't get enough!
