Bait and switch
We were debating between a couple of glasses or a bottle. We ordered a $30 bottle of Australian Shiraz. It was ok not great but we were busy talking. When the bill came, it seemed out of whack. It turns out they had substituted a $142 bottle. When we brought the mistake to their attention, the owner/chef insisted it was our problem because we hadn't paid attention to the "presentation" by the waiter. After much arguing where he did not take ownership of his staff's error, he reduced the wine charge to $60. The food wasn't bad but we can guess how they make their money. If you choose to eat here, pay very careful attention for substitutions. We will never forget this evening.
