| - Since I notice so many jacked up fades, I get anxiety trying out a new barbershop. However, I was in Las Vegas this past weekend and needed a haircut. My choices were to wait another week until I could see my regular barber in Roseville, CA, or try out a new shop in Vegas. I happened to be driving down Eastern and noticed a sign for Kast Iron Barbershop- next to Zia Records. After reading all of the positive reviews on Yelp, I decided to call the shop and schedule an appointment for Saturday morning.
The gentleman who answered the phone told me that an appointment was not needed, and that the shop opened at 9 am on Saturday morning. Still nervous, I decided to make my way down to the shop 30 minutes before they opened on Saturday and take my chances. I was warmly greeted by Mike on Saturday morning, and was the first one in the chair. After explaining what I wanted, Mike proceeded to work his magic. No joke-Mike is the real deal! He took his time, hooked up my fade, and lined me up real nice. In fact, some random lady complimented my haircut when I got back to work a few days later. I was extremely satisfied with the cut, and appreciate his attention to details.
There are a handful of barbers onsite, and the shop seems to be doing really well so far. The word is out, and these young guys are determined to be the best at what they do. The only drawback is that the shop didn't have cable yet to show the tournament games, but Mike is working on it. I am happy that I found a barbershop to visit when I am in Las Vegas. Go visit the Kast Iron team -you won't be disappointed!
