| - I spotted this little restaurant on the way out of town and decided to drop in and pick up some food for the trip ahead. I was very glad I did.
The menu is typical mediterranean with a kosher bias. On my first visit, I opted for the falafel pita. I wasn't sure what really to expect, I thought maybe 3 or 4 falafel along with some lettuce, tomato, and hummus. I could not have been more wrong. They take a warm, fluffy pita and stuff it with as many falafel as they can stuff into it, usually anywhere from 6-8. After that, you are asked what you would like on your flafel/sandwich: hummus, tahini, hot sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, pickled vegetables, tzatziki are just some of the condiments you can choose to top your order with.
The falafels themselves, are moist and nicely seasoned. All this delicious goodness for less than $8 is definitely a good value. If you decide to eat in, you can have AYCE picled vegetables and salads for $3!
I have been back several times and although the owners can, at first, appear intimidating, service has always been friendly and quick. Everytime I have returned, I have ordered the falafel pita. It's not that I don't want to try their other menu items, but the falafel pita so good it's hard for me to order anything else.
