  • On our way home from Sedona today, my wife and I were excited to be able to detour to Cave Creek for some of that "delicious" fried chicken at the Horny Toad. We have been going to that restaurant for about 15 years and it almost never disappointed. Today we were served chicken that looked and tasted like it was either re-fried or just days old. It was stringy, saturated with grease and basically inedible. Any chef that serves chicken like that does not deserve to keep his customers. It should have been thrown in the garbage at the end of the day on which it was originally intended to be served. We used to drive 30 minutes from Scottsdale for their great fried chicken. We won't be back.
