| - So very disappointed! Please look at attached pictures. I was given a receiver as a Christmas gift. The receipt was at home and I had it in my trunk to return after work. I looked at the website which I've attached a screenshot of that describes the easiest return process with no disclaimers or caveats. It literally says, "Almost every item can be returned" before Jan 14. Sounds easy right?
My item was unopened, sealed with Best Buy security sticker that indicated that location. And I just wanted an exchange.
Instead I met a young girl, arguing with a Geek squad coworker when I walked up. She correctly asked for my receipt and I explained I didn't stop at home to get it because the website and the salesperson the person It was bought from indicated I didn't need one for an exchange.
She seemed to take pleasure in telling me I had to have a receipt then disappeared for about 10 minutes. No hang on, give me a moment, anything.
10 minutes later a person who didn't introduce himself of offer a name or title, immediately asked for my receipt and why I wasn't a club member that offers longer return times. I then showed him the website that showed the policy covered this scenario through 1/14 and obviously today was the 11th.
He then left without a word and brought back a small print paper I've never seen before (remember this was a gift) and said that trumps the website and gives authority to manager discretion. He then soundly said no. His call.
There was no arguing, yelling or scene. I had my children with me.
Frustrated I went to store on Marks near my home immediately.
Wow , what a difference!
No arguing , the clerk that met at the counter was happy, smiled and said what can he do to help?
I explained the same story I told the Raimbow bad guys and he said , " oh, that's ez! As long as we still carry it and I just checked we do, let's get you a credit and go shopping!" Moments later an equally friendly manager handed me a gift card and I was introduced to two experts in home automaton and soundbars.
An hour later, we had multiple Amazon Dot's and a new sound system easily increasing my return to a large sale.
Rainbow arroyo store : confrontational and absolutely abusive contrary to published policy.
Marks/Henderson : warm and friendly , ethical and super helpful.
Attached you will see pictures of the website policy, customer service criminal that refused return and my gift card I got from the Marks store.
If the rainbow store only know how many people I referred there and won't again as I work in the housing industry.
