  • The West Rim is the way to go. Pay the extra $20 for food, you won't be sorry. That early in the morning it is going to be hard to find a quick, hot breakfast. They stop at a little diner in Boulder City and the food is actually really good. I ordered a breakfast burrito not expecting too much and I was surprised by how good it actually turned out to be. Our Tour Guide, Jodi, was great. Not only was she friendly and informative, but she was genuine. I've found this to be a difficult trait in most tour guides. They either come off way too cheesy or just don't say anything at all. She had us on a tight schedule but we had time to do everything we wanted and still be back on the bus on time. She told us what was most popular/most worth our money and showed us a movie about the Skywalk on the way. Very informative and makes you feel that much safer while walking on the Skywalk. Enjoy lunch at Guano Point. They give you a huge serving and it is also pretty good. We had a 20 minute photo stop at the Hoover Dam on the way back. Phil, our bus driver, had us in, out, and back on the road heading to Vegas in no time. We were back at the Monte Carlo before 5PM. Right before dropping us off, Jodi gave us some more information about Vegas and some things to see while we were there. We also received free show tickets. Way worth the money, even without a Groupon. If you aren't from around here you have to see the Grand Canyon at some point in your life. It is seriously awe-inspiring. Thank you Jodi and Comedy on Deck Tours for making the experience so easy for us! Side Note: Our time lapse camera was stolen while we were off the bus at the Grand Canyon. While it was no fault of the bus driver or the tour guide, you might want to keep all of your stuff with you while off the bus. We felt it would be safe since everyone else was leaving things on the bus too. Unfortunately, there are thieves everywhere. Shame on you whoever you are!
