| - My friends and I came here for New Year's Eve and the service (specifically Merlin and his manager) was so bad, we had to leave. To start, we sat at a high top table in the bar to grab a drink while waiting on our table, and waited for over 20 minutes before anyone came up to get our order, which was after we asked to be waited on. Then after an hour waiting in the bar we were seated at our table. When our waiter Merlin took our order, we were informed the au gratin potatoes (a fav of ours) were sold out. Merlin was unapologetic and extremely condescending - we brushed it off and ordered a couple other options instead, trying to make the best of it. After waiting another 40 minutes, we were finally served our salads. Then another 40 minutes passes by, the manager stops by asking us how we are doing, and we informed him we were a little disappointed because our meal hadn't been served. He didn't apologize at all and said it was coming off the fire and would be there shortly. Another 10 minutes goes by and our food is finally served - cold. We flag down Merlin to tell him our food is cold and no joke, he walks away while we are in the middle of informing him of this. At that point, we got up, paid our bill for what we already ate and drank and left. Management didn't offer an apology or credit for the bad service and food. We ended up going down the street to Capital Grille where we were seated and waited on instantly. The food and service was fabulous! If you want to go out for a special meal, DO NOT go to Donovan's - highly recommend Capital Grille instead.
