| - Greetings everyone! I hope this message will find you in the best of health and high spirit! I would like to give a very honest review with both pros and cons. Sometimes we can judge very harshly! And we hardly focus on the positive side of things. I moved in July of 2014. I was very worried about the reveiws that I had saw regarding the cleanliness, roaches and bed bugs. The application process was very quick, I was approved on the spot! It took about 2 days for them to confirm my references. The staff were awesome! They were very informative, helpful and welcoming! They let me do a walk through about three times because I'm so picky and I asked a lot of questions! The only thing I did not like is that they require a 60 day notice of leave. However one of the best things I like is the front pool area, which just about always clean accept during monsoon season where we had a lot of dust storms and hard to keep pools clean during that time. I like access to their club house that has Wifi! They have a cute little Amor decorating area free of use if you want to wrap gifts and presents for any personal special occasions! The biggest thing that I like is there organization and communication to their residents with a monthly Newsletter which includes raffle prizes for discounted rent, reminders about paying rent! They have contest on best decorated houses for holidays where you can win prizes! They put in great effort making everyone feel apart of and included, which to me creates a great atmosphere of a healthy family community! I like that they take pride in making sure their is no trash laying around on the grounds and they take good care of the very green lawns, trees & parking lots!
Now I'm a very paticular person! I believe that no matter where you live whether it's in a mansion or shack you should still hold yourself and others around you responsible for cleanliness! I called Willow Creek almost daily before I moved in to make sure that the whole apartment would be cleaned, have repairs and I pressed the issue of new carpet. Willow Creek told me that if the carpet is in good condition they would just shampoo the carpet, which I was very disappointed to hear because I feel all carpet should be replaced for new residents.
FORTUNATELY for me the old carpet was in horrible condition to where they had to replace all of the carpet in the apartment YaY! Now the next thing was the pest issue, they assured me that they had no reports of anyone having issues with bed bugs or roaches and they they spray weekly. Again, I'm very particular! So I had them spray from inside out before I moved any of my things in the house just be on the safe side! They did a really good job of laying fresh carpet and cleaning the entire apartment. Now because I'm very particular and nit picky, I like to do my own cleaning from top to bottom whipping down everything from walls, cabinets, sinks, tubs, kitchen appliances and mop floores with hot bleach soapy water (there is no good cleaning like your own good cleaning)! I always run the dishwasher, washer, dryer and A/C unit to make sure everthing is working correctly upon my walk through before I move anything into the apartment (I reccomend everyone do the following anywhere you move, because you can resolve a lot issues before you get settled in)! I do understand that you get what you pay for. Willow Creeks prices are very reasonable considering location, having close access to freeways, close to colleges, high schools and grocery stores! The location is very conveient and you save alot on gas because everything you need is literally in walking distance.
I HAVE HAD NO PESTS ISSUES AT ALL WHAT SO EVER!!! And pray that It stays that way! There are NO ROACHES OR BED BUGS in my apartment, All praises due to God!!! The only bug that entered in the home that I was aware of was a moth that flew in the house, I promise! This is my personal experience so far for living here for the past 6 months! The only thing that I really have an issue with is that I wish the cabinets and sinks were updated and I wish they would add crown molding around all the bases of the walls. But that would mean higher rent I'm sure so you can't having everything. There are a little things that need to be repaired but that's because of normal where and tear. This is pretty decent living for the price and location. Overall I have had no major unbarelable experiences so far, I'm satisfied for the time being!!!
