At first I was really bummed that this hotel is not on the Strip but after getting there I realized the set back of the hotel is comparable to other hotels on the Strip. The only difference is that the other hotels on the strip your walking a mile through the casino to get to your room vs. the street like at Trump. This is definitely not a deal breaker and the street is well lit.
I have had the pleasure of staying at many 5 star hotels and this is not one of them. I would rate it as a 4 star.
Here is why this is a four star hotel and not a five.
- Stove in room did not work. They said they would have to call for service. I declined because I hate having people in my room when I'm not there.
- Black scuff marks on the ceiling
- Toilet clogged up 3-4 times every day. What a pain!
- Box of Kleenex was soaking wet upon arrival
- Radio in room is not bluetooth
- When waiting for a ride or valet to bring your car there isn't any seating available outside. I saw people actually sitting on the ground.
The good
- The view
- Big room
- Pool was the best part! It has a cool vibe with good music and view. Some people wanted the music louder but I thought it was perfect!
- Hotel room is nice and the bed is comfortable however it does not have a five star feel. I think it was due to the bland decor.
- Staff was nice overall but the staff at the pool and doorman(s) were excellent. They made my experience that much better.
Overall I would stay again but not with 5 start expectations. Its not a party hotel which is absolutely fine but I think their pool is too nice not to house some party events a couple times a year.
