This is a classic "go to" place in central Phx that never disappoints. During the peak season you best have a reservation but during the summer you can pretty much get right in! Last night I went with a group of friends for a birthday celebration and was eagerly anticipating another great meal! We sat in the bar first as we waited for all of our group to arrive. We enjoyed cocktails before moving to our large table. Our waiter was very attentive and told us about the nights specials. We were disappointed to hear the meatloaf and pork chops had been removed from the menu but there were plenty of options to replace them. Of our party of 8, I think 4 of us ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon! One person ordered a pasta, one ordered the fish special of the night and I think two ordered steak. We all devoured our meals and everyone commented on how delicious....especially the moist salmon!
For dessert we ordered two of the Chocolate Lava cakes and one Buttermilk Pie with Caramel sauce. Again....devoured and delicious! Prices are reasonable and the portions are ample. If you haven't tried Phx City Grille you need to! There are plenty of new options in the central Phx corridor and more keep popping up but lets keep supporting the old local favorites too!
