I really enjoyed my experience at Vallozzi's and would highly recommend it to others. I noticed a lot of the less favorable reviews mention price in proportion to the food. I think it's important to note that this is a fine dining establishment and the price you are paying is for the quality, not the quantity. This isn't the Cheesecake Factory.
We ordered a lot of plates and shared among the table. The beef entrecĂ´te was really cool. They bring it with a piping hot Himalayan salt stone to cook the meat. I can also recommend the shishito peppers, burrata, prosciutto plate, roasted beet salad, and the suckling pig papardelle. Everything was exceptional.
The server was also very attentive and accommodating. We requested toasted bread with one of the appetizers in lieu of the regular bread and the server quickly obliged. Also, I liked that they serve ricotta with the bread.
