Hands on learning. This is my kind of place. I write this review by comparing it to other science museums that I've been to.
What keeps Discovery Place from being one of the more exciting science museums...is that it's relatively the same every time I go.
Sure there's some new stuff...but some of the old stuff just needs to go. My son loves science and engineering...and with the exception of some of the upstairs activities, he was bored. We made it through Discovery Place in about an hour...and he's only 6.
So, my advice is to look into Discovery Place before you go, find what you'd like to do, and get down to business. Otherwise, you'll run up and down and back up and back down and back up and down and up and down...as your kids realize that the new thing was definitely not as interesting as the last thing.
Try: Catching an Imax movie
Avoid: The water room (unless you want your kid drenched)
