  • If you have anxiety/claustrophobia: do not come here for MRI's. They're extremely overpriced as it is, and the sedation is even more ridiculous and unnecessary if the techs actually know what they're doing and how to talk to patients. I arrived at 7:45 pm and wasn't seen until 9:20 pm. I was told over the phone 3 MRI's needed would only take an hour and a half, as I wanted to schedule them different days but was convinced to do it all in one day, and the tech said it would take THREE HOURS. She also said I would have to sit in the MRI machine for those three hours STRAIGHT, she would not let me have a break at all. I told her that I was going to the bathroom and came back and asked if I would be charged for laying on the table for less than 5 minutes, to which the tech responded "you don't have to talk to me that way. And I'M not charging you anything." For 4-5k I think I should be comfortable, but if you're already charging me of course I want to know and would just suck it up. I was so glad I walked out of there and went to SimonMed. The techs are not 20 years old, they have 20 years of experience and really care about making you comfortable and they got 3 MRI's (back/neck) done in less than 2 hours. They also have a standing up machine (you sit/recline in) and can WATCH TV IN and they can usually get you in that day/ a reasonable amount of time. Steinberg made me wait over a week once I finally got ahold of someone after 3 days of calling. Their scheduling department, customer service, and techs are a nightmare. MRI's do not have to be hell. Do not let Steinberg suck you in!
