| - Since moving back to Toronto I've been looking for a place to get a haircut. I've finally found that place and it's ManCave Barbers Lounge. I just had my second haircut at ManCave Barbers Lounge from Lizz M, due to the reviews on Yelp. I can honestly say that Yelp did not disappoint and the reviews are so accurate, I will be getting my haircut at ManCave Barbers Lounge from now on.
There website is amazing, it is chic and easy to read. Everything is laid out clearly and there are no surprises in store. One great feature that I personally love is the convenience of being able to book your appointment online. Not only this, you can also book your appointment with a specific barber/stylist if there is one you prefer. The online booking system is simple and easy to use, no complaints.
When you walk into ManCave Barber's Lounge the first thing you notice is how clean, modern, and spacious it is. They have wifi, offer complimentary beverages, have a nice clean seating/waiting area, and television stations at each barbers chair and the seating area. The music that they place is really great as well!
The two times that I have gone, whoever is at the front desk have been very pleasant and welcoming. The atmosphere from all the stuff is very positive and friendly, everyone has amazing personalities, are clearly good at there crafts, and most importantly they genuinely want to work and enjoy working there.
Both times I have had a haircut from Lizz M and I must say she is the most amazing barber/stylist I have ever had! She takes the time to ask what kind of hairstyle I want but also is not afraid to offer some suggestions and alternative hairstyles that I might like as well. Her suggestions have been perfect and spot on.
Lizz M takes about 45 minutes to an hour to work on my hair. This includes washing and shampooing/conditioning my hair twice. My hair is not difficult to work it and I don't ask for complicated styles, the reason for Lizz M taking a long time to do my haircut is because she is a master and wizard at what she does. Her hair cutting and styling techniques are perfection and she is very detailed oriented, she treats all her customers the same and it clearly shows at the end of the haircut with the final result.
Lizz M has an amazing personality and banter, it doesn't even feel like I am getting a haircut at all. I feel like I'm catching up with a friend. I've never received so many compliments on my haircut before and my confidence has never been so high. Who knew this could occur because of a haircut?
I've now officially found my haircut place in Toronto and won't be going anywhere else. Some might think that $27 for a haircut is a bit expensive for a men's haircut. However, for all of the work that Lizz M does, she should be charging a lot more than $27!
I haven't gone to any of the other barber's and stylists but from what I have seen during my two visits, all of the customers are very happy with the services they receive.
