I was pretty disappointed with this year's fashion show at the Andaz resort in Scottsdale. Over all, it was pretty unorganized. Although I paid $75 for a ticket to the show, people were walking in off the street with no issues. Mainly due to the fact the show was set up in the grass just off parking lot to the resort. The advertised "market place" for vendors included no more than 5 booths and seemed to be boutiques selling off the rack, maybe 1 actual designer was selling their designs. The show itself featured no local designers only local stylists. At the end of the show we were asked to vote for the best stylist. This is not at all what was being promoted on their website. If I had known I was paying $75 to see "models" dressed up in layers of trendy clothes from the mall I would have passed on attending this event for sure. Reminded me of the fashion shows the mall department stores used to put on during back to school season in the 80's and 90's. One thing I will say.... it does appear that they tried to pull off something pretty amazing. The effort was there, it just fell flat.
