This is such a cozy place to begin with. The relatively low lighting and all of the wood-based furniture makes it feel really comfortable inside. They offer milk teas, herbal teas, slushies, taiwanese shaved ice as well as a few noodle and noodle soup dishes.
I ordered the minced pork and sausage in noodle soup. The portion is large and there is lots of sliced sausage that comes as a side order. The noodles weren't exactly what I was expecting them to be. Chewy noodles are my thing, but these were more like spaghetti noodles in terms of their texture. Though they did have a bite to them, there was no springiness like a hand-pulled noodle would have. The best part about this dish was the sausage. I was definitely not expecting it to be so good! The sausage is sweet and savoury and it is perfect for eating with the soup broth (which was my second favourite part).
I also ordered a large cereal malt milk tea. I was going to share it with someone, but when I got my order it turned out to be a regular :( I was a little bit annoyed at that. Furthermore, one of the diners I was with didn't even receive her drink! Oddly, the bill didn't charge us for what we initially ordered but for what we received. Do they choose what to give us!?
Anyways, I have had better milk teas elsewhere and I also get my taiwanese noodles from a place not too far away. I came to see if it would be worth making regular stops here, but unfortunately I don't think it will be.
