  • We're annual pass holders at Shark Reef. It always makes my little one's day every time we visit. It is where she first fell in love with sharks and got over her fear of touching sea creatures. This aquarium is much smaller compared to others in California or probably other places so if you are expecting something as big as sea world, you'll be very disappointed. It is well maintained and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Expect to spend atleast an hour or 2 there with the kiddos. We went there again today around 11am. Was expecting a crowd but there weren't that many people yet...yeeeaay! We got to spend a lot of time at the touch pool. My daughter was thrilled to be chosen as a junior naturalist, complete with vest and nameplate (ha!). The guide, Christian was wonderful, friendly and very informative. He even gave my little one a certificate after she passed the quiz. Totally made her day. By the time we left around 1pm, the line at the booth was loooong already. If you're a local, the annual pass is definitely worth it. If you're just visiting, it's still worth seeing Shark Reef.
