  • Read your contract. When your lease expires, it doesn't, it automatically renews month-to-month. They require 60-days written notice to cancel your lease. If you don't you will owe two months rent, fees, etc....for not signing a piece of paper. My recommendation, if plan to rent for a limited time, submit the lease cancellation the same day you start the lease.
