  • I stayed at the Trump this weekend for 2 nights in a deluxe 1 bedroom suite (Feb 14 and 15th, 2015). The Trump is phenomenal. From the moment you walk in the door, they make you feel warm and welcome, like royalty. The lobby area wasn't as pretty or as nice as other hotels that I have been to, but the service was awesome. A gentleman took our bags up to our room, and educated us about the hotel facilities open and available, as well as city information about what is nearby and how to get around. The room was beautiful. The living room was furnished with very modern décor. It contained a pull out couch, fireplace, desk and chair, and bar with complimentary ice brought to our room right at check in. There was a bathroom/powder room also, and tons of space in the common areas to move. Our bedroom was quite large, as well. It was furnished with 1 King size bed with 2 bedside tables. NEVER IN MY LIFE have I slept in such a comfortable bed. The mattress was pillowtop, and the pillows were memory foam (LOVE!!). Walls in all the rooms were soundproofed. The bathroom had his and hers sinks, a large tub (big enough to fit two people at full length) and a gigantic stand-up shower with rainfall showerheads. The floors were heated and turn down light service was also available with settings for morning, evening, night, etc. It was especially nice in the mornings when you're super groggy and sensitive to light. The view wasn't that great from our room. We were in 2308. Rest assured, I think it will be very difficult to get a good view of the city from ANY room in the hotel just because the hotel is surrounded by so many buildings (as it is located in the financial district). On our first night, we asked if the hotel could arrange a cab for us. One of the valet workers spoke to one of the personal hotel drivers to ask if they could drive us over to the bank and the restaurant that we had reserved for 8pm. We paid him, as that was an extremely kind and exceptional thing to do for us even though he was off shift. My only negative complaint was on the second day of our stay, I had asked to get my car out of the valet, as I had another appointment to attend to in Mississauga. Having left my room about 1.5 hours before my appointment, it took valet 40 minutes to get my car for me (there were about 6-8 people working in valet at the time...). Overall, 4.5 stars out of 5 :)
