| - Just got back from staying the weekend at "THE RESORT"?
First the good, the food at the restaurant was good for lunch and dinner. Breakfast, forget the potatoes, rude waitress. This was our only bad experience food wise.
The hotel staff was very professional and pleasant. Housekeeping staff we encountered did not speak English. Room on Saturday did not get cleaned until after 4:00 pm, and only after we complained to the Manager.
As for the RESORT, well, as stated before, the carpets, paint, the overall condition needs a MASSIVE update. Carpets in dining room, hallways, stairwells and guest rooms are AWFUL. One of the two small chairs in our room almost fell apart with me sitting in it. I was reading a book and reached down and touched where the leg meets the seat and there was a 1/4 inch gap. I got up and put the chair back together, and refused to sit in it after that. The tile grout in the bathtub and floor appears to be black, but I think it was white and now VERY MILDEWED.
Again the hotel staff remedied any problem, with promptness, and professionalism.
The remote for the DVD player did not work, and a gentleman maintenance worker, took care of the problem. We believe he is also the one who cleaned our room on Saturday.
I also agree with the previous review, that the Balcony was not worth the added cost.
