  • I don't like giving any place just one star, but Life 365 Portraits deserves it. My experience was similar to other reviewers (wish I read the reviews first!) Once you use these guys at the hospital, they offer a complimentary in house photo session with the promise of a free 8 by10 print. They kept calling us over and over for months after we had our baby and we were already planning to get some holiday pictures taken with a professional so we were like "why not?" and booked an appt. The photographer that showed up was inexperienced. He asked for a table and things to cover the table, all of which took up time to get ready. They should have given us these instructions in advance so we could have been prepared. They come with zero props or ideas. I was suggesting everything and driving the session. I will give him credit as he was good with getting our baby's attention but that's pretty much it. I knew they were scheduled to be there for 45 minutes so I wanted to get all the pictures I wanted done quickly but he said he needed to take certain shots first. I asked if I could change my baby into his cute outfit we had picked out (they had said not to change our baby until they got to our house and said we could do 2 outfit changes), but he said it was unnecessary. These pictures were fine but not something I wanted at all and just ate up a lot of time. They were basic close shots, but I already got these from the hospital when he was born. The photographer never gave us any warning when we only had a few minutes left or it was the last photo he planned to take. We wanted to do a family shot and had told him in advance. He took one and then asked if we really wanted our dog in the picture saying "it just doesn't look good with him in it." I thought this was very rude and we asked if he could try and take one more. Abruptly he was like "Nope, I have to go." Umm..what? It came out of nowhere and it would've taken 2 seconds to snap one more picture. He went on to schedule an online appointment for us for two days later with ZERO explanation as to how the process worked. We never received an email to confirm the appointment and we got a call from someone saying it was time for our online viewing appointment but it was the wrong day and time. We had to keep rescheduling with them once we realized that we could only see the pictures once (they never explained this until the 4th time I try to schedule with them) as my husband and I had to find a time we could both be near a computer together. When the viewing time finally came, it was quite poor. You can't even scroll through the pictures or zoom in yourself as they control everything (they don't want any one to screen shot pictures). I did like some of the pictures but I think it's just because my baby was being really cute and we gave him all the ideas on how to take the pictures. They also make a few collages, cards, etc. for you. The prices are OUTRAGEOUS for what you're getting and the more you ask for different options, the more packages they come up with it. They won't sell you individual pictures and if you want soft copies, you have to get them all together and prices start at close to $400+. It's really a big scam as they think you'll fall in love with your baby's pictures and buy a ridiculous package. I would even be willing to pay these prices for other professional photographers who come to your home for hours, brings tons of cute props and works with you to capture the moments you want. I ended up ordering Christmas cards with them (just so I could have a few of his cute photos after all the work we did) and they ended up being plain pictures (not cards at all!). I could get something SO much better on Shutterfly for half the price. There are SO many amazing photographers to go with if you are looking for some professional in home photos. DO NOT GO WITH THESE GUYS!
