The facilities of this location is very good; it's big, it has a good variety of machines, and public classes and even a women dedicated section.
Unfortunately I have noticed something that really annoys me: I used to go to Goodlife Fitness on Yonge and King and I am surprised to see how the service is different in this branch compare to the one on "Financial District"! the one on FD provides
any hair product a woman might need to use such as flat iron, hair spray, deodorant spray, on the other hand; the only thing they have at North York branch is just a few blow dryers.
The wash rooms and changing rooms are much more cleaner on the FD branch... you should see the change room at the end of the night it's full of used paper towels, toilet papers and wet gym towels!!! (I don't blame it all on the branch services, the users should also be much more concerned about keeping the gym clean! After all we go there to have a healthier life for god sake!!!)
Comparing the two branches made me think if the reason behind the service policy goes back to the famous "hidden"discrimination story we see in many places!? It's simple Financial District's branch client's are mostly rich and/or white whereas North York branch's clients are mostly mid-class migrants !?
hmmmm! I am still thinking...
