| - Perhaps I'm jaded because I am an "insider" when it comes to Las Vegas shows. My job gets me tix to most LV shows. I waited three years to get my tix for MJ One. That show is soooooooooo popular and it's not cheap!
Seating:
I recommend, based on audience interaction and to see more details, sit centered and not too close but not too far away either ... and if you can, sit on an aisle. I recommend lower orchestra, as centered as possible, and starting at least 7 rows back (you don't want to be TOO close for any cirque show). I don't recommend sitting any further back than the 1st row of upper orchestra.
Hits:
* Show room theming, usher costumes, Michael Jackson private memorabilia, gift shop
merchandise, photo op back drops (take time to really look at everything).
* comfortable theatre seats (not too narrow)
* Fun "pre-show" - very interactive with audience.
* Great lighting effects during the show.
* The more lively hit songs of MJ were the best scenes
* The Billie Jean scene!
* The Thriller scene! audience interactive - spectacular
* The acrobatics
* special effects with several props (boots, glove, vest)
* performer costumes
* audience interaction
* the HOLOGRAM!
Misses:
* Several scenes seemed WAY too long to me, which made them become rather boring.
* A handful of scenes felt like "filler" scenes.
* There was a theme and some central characters (as in most cirque shows), but the theme of two of the four central characters kind of fell flat and didn't fully carry the theme though
* The live singer that showed up a few times (from the ceiling) didn't seem to "fit" at all
* Two the best scenes were WAY too short (billie jean and thriller)
* The guitarist made too many "random" appearances
* a few videos during the show that were just strange and pointless
* too much repetitive dancing and not quite enough acrobatics
