| - HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE
When I called for an appointment the response was 'I don't want to take an appointment, you can walk and wait patiently and get your nails done or wait patiently and not get your nails done. I can't guarantee anything'. I was very confused by this rude response, but went anyway which was my first mistake.
The salon is owned by Persian family and the people working were a young Persian girl, her older sister, and an older Asian woman. Their brother stopped by and I witnessed several times them fighting and cursing at each other which just seems very unprofessional.
I needed a fill and a pedicure. I should have been there an hour and a half at most. I arrived at 4:30. The younger sister did my nails who seems to be the most competent out of the three. However she kept burning me with the file and two times she yelled at both her older sister and the other Asian woman for overcharging the clients that were there. They were just making up prices and she scolded him for it. Then one girl began fighting with the Asian nail tech because she kept hurting her with the buffer. She asked several times please don't buff my nails so deep- then it turned into please just don't buff them at all. Instead of just listening to her request the tech started fighting with the client saying I'm doing what I have to do! I never witnessed anything so ridiculous. The older sister had to intervene as the client explained that she was truly being hurt by the tech. She walked out, I don't blame her.
Meanwhile, A walk in came for just a nail fix and polish change. She should have been in and out in 20 minutes. They told her it was a 10 minute wait after waiting 35 minutes they finally started on her. They use the wrong color they were giving her a hard time they tried to overcharge her (Younger sister literally said please stop trying to overcharge her) Send her nail tech actually stopped working on her toes to go to someone else's made her wait and then cane back to her. She ended up being at the salon for nearly 2 1/2 hours! The girl started crying and threatening to leave without paying (which was completely warranted) and questioning their five star reviews on yelp. She ended up paying and walking out unhappy, still crying.
A fill which should take at most one hour for some reason took three hours with this young girl. I should have just left but I had a photo shoot and I was in desperate need of getting my nails done last minute. So they put me with the Asian tech to do my pedicure. It was like this woman had never done a pedicure before in her life and really just wanted to leave! She started scrubbing my legs so hard with the exfoliants I asked her to stop instead of a relaxing pedicure where they soak your feet she pulled out my feet aggressively slammed my heel down on the ledge and made a terrible attempt to buff my feet in a very sloppy and painful way. Instead of filing my nails she was filing my skin on on my toes and pulling my toes and twisting them in different directions. I'm very patient and I've dealt with a lot of to this point and I asked her to please just stop in if someone else was available to do the pedicure. She starts arguing with me and I said I'm not arguing, I just want to know if someone else is available or I'm just gonna leave it's totally fine. I asked if she could rinse off the exfoliants and she turned on the water without checking the temperature and burned my skin with scalding hot water. At this point I nearly walked out before the older sister intervened. I was so annoyed I wanted to leave and she said no please stay I will do your pedicure.
I asked for the same color that was on my nails and they gave me a completely different color but at this point I was just so annoyed I didn't say anything. She was rushing the job since I had been there so long and it was closing hour. She said 'don't worry I'm going to give you a gel topcoat so dries fast and we can get you out of here faster.' Then when it came time to pay they wanted to charge me $95 for a fill and a pedicure. I looked at them in disbelief especially after two customers before me left unhappy and I had been there for FOUR hours! Four hours! Then the older sister has the NERVE to say 'well, it should've been $10 more but I gave you a quick dry topcoat for free so you should be happy', and continues to spew a bunch of BS how their products are better than everyone else's which they are not. The entire experience was awful but more importantly my actual nails were done very sloppily and haphazardly. I've had better quality at the Walmart nail salon. Reluctantly, I paid and I STILL tipped because I am the nice person I am. (as I'm writing this, I greatly greatly regret tipping at all). Then I left... and I will certainly never return.
