  • My wife had been here before, but it was my first visit. We visited the Robinson location before and wanted to try the original. Surprisingly enough, we only had to wait about 10 minutes on a late Sunday morning around 11:30. They were still busy inside though, but that didn't affect our service. The waitress was attentive and nice to answer all our menu questions (we like to make substitutions). We are big coffee drinkers, and once she noticed she couldn't keep up, she brought over a carafe. As for the food, the menu is huge. My wife got poached eggs (surprise), and they were cooked perfectly. She also got her raisin toast well done. She had to send it back to have it run through again. When it came back out, it was perfect. The waitress didn't mind, and she even warned her it might come out too dark and didn't want her to be upset. I ordered the Greek omelet with grilled chicken. It was pretty big, and had a lot of cheese in it. It tasted really good, my only minor change would be less grease. Something about a greasy omelet usually doesn't sit well with my stomach. But again, it was really good. We both got fruit cups instead of potatoes. The fruit wasn't that ripe, and our waitress warned us about that too, but it still wasn't bad. And a better option than the home fries would have been, because I didn't have an hour to go to the bathroom. DeLuca's is a Pittsburgh staple everyone has to try at least once. It really is a perfect greasy diner experience if that's what you are looking for.
