| - my favorite park thus far. it's huge and you can easily spend 3hours + here wandering the different sections. you have the option of a mini zoo, lake, running track, dog park, restaurant, random hiking trails, swamp area, bird sighting sections, tennis, ice skating in the winter, historical nature walks and so, so much more. i'm so happy that this park exists in toronto because the city desperately needs it. coming here feels like you are on vacation because the atmosphere is so relaxing and contrasting with the downtown core, yet it's not located in bum-fuck nowhere. it's easily accessible and is surrounded by beautiful historical houses for additional eye candy. i love how it's wedged between two neighborhoods that i absolutely adore (roncesvalles & bloor-west) so venturing here usually takes up a whole day. did i mention the blossoming trees in the spring? it's truly magical. i loooove high park! best seasons to check out: spring and fall.
