  • Things you will find at Timmie: an eclectic variety of toys, clothes, food and treats, and other special canine things, a lot at generally decently prices. There are usually a couple loose dogs running around, and the place is usually punctuated by the smiling presence of Paul the store owner. Some stuff are different than what one may find in their Queen West location, but the stuff does rotate accordingly to the seasons (want a Christmas themed chicken squeeze toy?). This is a boutique pet store with some personality where many other area dog lovers may be found spending more time than they should. Things you will never find here: anything to do with cats. Of course not, duh! There is never any of this "sorry, maybe you will find her size in the kitty section" crap like I put up with in a big-box pet store. Which reminds me: if you have a small dog, like for example a Chihuahua, they may not have a tiny size if you're looking for clothing or a harness. Though they will make an effort to find something or have something special ordered for you. Which is a lot better than being told to find something where scratching posts are sold (absolutely impossible for a store that only focuses on dogs). I can't speak of their grooming services, but this is my neighborhood go-to place for high quality doggie treats. My bitch is hooked on those cute cookies at the counter, which is all that seems to matter to her about Timmie.
