  • :-( the property owner has the road blocked, several no trespassing and private property signs. I don't think there's a way to get to the narrows without an extensive 3 day hike from the north or crossing the private property from a non gated area (still trespassing). I'm really bummed because the pictures look awesome and I wanted to check it out. Visit 1: When we were out a month ago, we drove too far up the road & got stopped by a security guard. He informed us that it's private property and not to leave the wash. He also came down the road to the parking area and documented license plate numbers. On this visit, it was too hot for our dogs so we turned around and cut the trip short. We didn't make it as far as we did on visit 2. Visit 2: We took the dogs again, made it to the point where the wash meets the road. The trail leads out of the wash, across the road, and looks like it cuts into the mountain. From what I've read, I think this is where a gate exists preventing access to the remainder of the trail. There were at least 10 signs that indicated we hit private property. Based on previous visit, I know there is active onsite security, so we decided to turn around. I'm not sure if there is an alternate route to get to the narrows from this point. If there is I didn't see it. Maybe the owner can put signs that say "no access" or point to an alternate route for hikers. There is also limited cell coverage, so using phone GPS to find an alternate route was impossible.
