| - I have to downgrade my review to 4 stars. Some of the Pros of this store really are more specific to people. Some of the most helpful people are Jeremiah and Tim. They have bent over backwards to help me on more than one occasion and I really appreciate that, as well as Cody. They seem to be the exception.
Customer Service for returns is easy as long as you go early in the morning when there are not a lot of people and have your receipt. I've not tried using the My Lowe's, as I make all my purchases on this just in case I don't have to my receipt. At least they have a record of all my purchases and what they are.
However, there are a multiple of other people that are just not that helpful, and don't really give a hoot. One day I walked up to the Customer Service desk with my husband to ask where something was located or if they had it. The big, tall elderly white-haired gentleman said he didn't know and didn't bother to try to find someone to help us. After we saw that he was uninterested in helping us, we felt it was better to go see if we could find what we were looking for ourselves.
That was supposed to be customer service and he really gave a 1 star on customer service. If you don't care about helping customers, perhaps you shouldn't be in the customer service area. There was a time when I would go into Lowe's and if the person didn't know, he/she would go find out the answer, or they would walk me to the area to show me where the items were.
Lately, and I'm talking the 2-3 weeks, which I've needed to go into Lowe's a number of times, only Jeremiah and Cody have actually tried to go with me to find the item I was looking for. Jeremiah went over the top and we searched high and low but couldn't find the item. We then went elsewhere to the store and while looking around, he came to find us to tell us he found what we were looking for. Now THAT is service.
Really, more of the Lowe's people should be either like Jeremiah or Tim. Tim was super helpful with my son's medieval project. I think I put this in my prior review about Tim.
We still like Lowe's but some of the Lowe's floor people could use some training and then follow up that they actually are providing good service to their customers. It's okay to not know, but at least try to find out for us.
