  • This is a nice little movie theater in the Penn hills shopping center. It advertises the lastest movies but only has 4 theaters to watch them in. The upper 2 rooms are their best. I find that the two lower theaters are a little awkward. The screen sits up way too high and unless you are in the far back two rows you literally break your neck to watch a movie. Since the door to the viewing theater is right by the seats sometimes it stays open after people walk in and all the light from the hallway shines in the theater. I wish people would have more respect for us viewers and close the door behind themselves. Quite rude and ghetto if you ask me. The theater plays a movie between 12pm and 11pm even during the week days so I love that they stay open late. THe prices are exceptionally good but you do get what you pay for. There are no IMAX or 3D and they lack that great sound system experience that you would get at lowes but i typically watch movies here that I'm not to keen on watching but are worth $5 to see. The latest movie I watched here was Riddick. I was really interested in seeing Prisoners but we arrived 30 minutes after it had already started so we decided to go see Riddick instead. They have few commercials here, only maybe 5 minutes worth or so. They have excellent deals during the weekday, monday thru thursday. Deals like free popcorn, $5 all day movies, and buy one get one snacks. The best is the BOGO snacks! We order nachos and a drink for like $7 and get another one absolutely free! How can you pass that up. I love the fact that they have groupons for this theater even though it's already cheap enough. I use a groupon on the BOGO days and its an amazing deal. First, $7 for two people, then $7 for snacks for two people. We watch a movie that is typically closer to 2 hours that way we get the best deal possible. I love going here on the weekdays. I usually save the weekend for the nicer theater but only if i go early, I don't like the crowds. This theater isn't as clean and neat as the mainstream ones but for the money you can still comfortably watch a movie and enjoy the snacks.
