  • For the past couple of years, I'd been growing my hair extra long in order to donate it. The long awaited moment finally arrived, so I checked on Yelp for recommendations, and made an appointment with Chyna at Tonic Salon. Even though I inadvertently arrived 10 minutes late, Chyna was friendly, welcoming, and patient. She took the time to talk to me about style possibilities, answer a lot of questions I had, and offered me a drink. From the initial bundling and removal of the long tail to be donated, through the washing, the cutting, the drying and styling, and final trimming; she was careful, gentle, meticulous, and precise. She also showed me how to style it on my own later on. Chyna gave me a great haircut (for $45) and was a pleasure to talk to, as well. I will happily go back there again.
