What a great way to ruin my last day in Vegas: give me attitude about an order that YOU got wrong!
The Venetian and Palazzo give you complimentary coffee and tea as part of your stay, which is limited to 2 a day. Normally these complimentary drinks are served in 8oz cups with the option to be combined.
This is where the mixup occurred. I wanted a total of 4 drinks: 2 8oz complimentary coffees, 1 medium regular coffee (sold at regular price) and a mocha. My server Aliyani mixed up my orders and instead combined my medium coffee so that I got 2 drinks instead of 4. I asked where are my 2 remaining coffee orders and she gave me attitude about how I was not understanding her; she thought I wanted my 2 orders combined into 1 medium coffee when I explicitly told her I wanted 2 complimentary 8oz cups. The math does work out, but I had to purchase the 2 small coffees as regular 12 oz cups and NOT as the complimentary 8oz sizes - which translates to wasted coffee. She could have apologized for her mixup but instead put the blame on me.
My mocha is average, no different than what I would find at the nearby Starbucks or Coffee Bean. If I want to get overpriced coffee I'd rather get it from a known quantity like the Coffee Bean located on the casino floor right near the elevators. At least I can customize it to a drink more my liking.
Guess I'll have to find another place to try Lavazza coffee.
