I had my LCD display replaced on my IPhone 6 on Aug 4, 2016. I had some water that got in my phone and my display started to have lines and black areas in it. The first guy ( very polite Asian guy) that looked at my phone said he would clean out the phone and check the display. Once he did he said the phone looked good no corrosion and that it just needed a new display. He changed my display and said if anything comes up just bring it back. There"s a big sign that says 90 day warranty with Apple phone repairs.
Well as of three days ago my display is failing and the glass is coming up. I called them and they said to bring it in. So i bring it in and there is another guy (taller white guy) and he says that he could look at it but when i dropped it i probably compromised the phone casing and they don't guarantee that. I told him i didn't drop it, it had water damage. then he said they don't warranty water damage. I wish they would have said that from the beginning. He said he would open it and look.
of course when i came back he said that it needed a new display and that he would give me a discount at $115. I said no i just got a display 3 weeks ago and paid $135. The new iPhone is coming out and i will be getting the new phone then.
After watching many videos on how to change a display i can see my glass is not adhered to my display. they should make it right but instead they are interested in the upsell.
I own a business and understand that customers matter. If their display is faulty or my phone is coming apart after 3 weeks you fix it,
the part with a screen will run you $25 - to $35 dollars. Don't bother with this place. There are too many repair places to pick from and some things are easy to fix yourself if you are savvy.
It's unfortunate because the first guy was great.
