| - Below was the original review I posted for Boehmer. The mistake I made was not waiting a mere 7 days longer. The initial visit was a complete waste of money. What was not conveyed was that if their "fix" didn't work, I would end up spending double that for a true evaluation of what the issue was. Apparently the first visit was a bandaid to see if it works, then if not, spend double to truly assess and evaluate what was really wrong with my A/C. Had I been given the opportunity to fully understand, I would have never opted for the liquid solution. I did call and speak with the owner to voice my complaints. He said he would gladly refund the initial visit and only charge for the 2nd visit. Well, I am victim of "the check's in the mail." It never came. Ultimately, I needed an entire new A/C unit after spending about $500 with Boehmer that never fixed the issue. It only diagnosed it. Needless to say, I went with an entirely different vendor for the A/C replacement at a fraction of the bid that Boehmer provided. My advice is to proceed with caution. Ask a lot of questions. Basically you are paying for speed of service and some friendliness. I do believe they are knowledgeable but at a cost to the customer who is at their mercy.
Based on reviews, I called Boehmer when my A/C wasn't producing cold air. I called after hours spoke with John who provided me estimates on after hours service versus service during the day. He came the following day and was able to resolve my issue in under 2 hours. Total cost for visit was higher than I had hoped for but ultimately, the A/C was fixed promptly and I've had no issues in the past 2 weeks. I purposefully waited before posting the review to make sure there were no other issues. In the end, I received personal, professional service and would absolutely call again.
So to repeat, proceed with caution. I was not provided with all options up front. Their method certainly drives more visits for their business at the expense of your pocketbook.
